Process Learning Centers (PLC) begins its 21st year as a nonprofit organization serving the community in 2008. With over two decades of assisting with the formation of networks, PLC focus is now on actively supporting programs and projects that are making a difference in the community and to people.
PLC interacted with several outstanding programs during the past year. In 2008, PLC will provide even more support and assistance to qualified non-profit agencies and programs with new video conferencing support equipment through its partner VCInternational .net (VCI) http://www.vcinternational.net . PLC / VCI can put up to twenty (20) sites in each worldwide video conference. PLC / VCI can web stream to thousands of individual computers. PLC /VCI can store and archive video conferences for 24 / 7 retrieval.
PLC is especially appreciative to the video conferencing equipment dealers who have enhanced non-profit programs and made new projects possible by donating equipment to PLC for distribution to others.
- David Neuman of VuPorts in San Francisco has contributed a large stock of video conferencing equipment to PLC. Neuman also assisted PLC in obtaining equipment to extend web casting, storage and retrieval of programs. http://www.vuports.com
- Resource Area for Teachers (RAFT) provided several video conferencing cameras which PLC is currently using to put together a network for organizations dealing with disadvantaged students. RAFT is an excellent program serving teachers in the greater San Jose, CA area and recently opened a site in Sacramento, CA called Hands on Sacramento.
